USTDA received a proposal from the Salvadorian Government to support the development of a single window electronic portal for customs. decision analysis partners was requested to consider the proposal and develop appropriate terms of reference. The objective of this system is to provide electronic means of obtaining all permits required to import or export electronically through a single source and in five minutes or less. The proposal was developed by the Ministerio de Hacienda which overseas the Customs department (Direccion General de la Renta de Aduanas). Following the analysis of documents provided by USTDA, as well as independent research, detailed terms of references and a budget for the study were developed.
