decision analysis partners was contracted to validate the process of video-time recording of mail carriers’ in-office casing activities in view of estimating the performances of standard work elements. The scope of work included:
- Establishing mail casing time element activities that were video-time recorded (time stamped). These elements will leverage the ones used as part of the work capture process.
- Video-time recording of a CPC representative performing normal mail casing sort activities.
- Conducting the time-stamping process for each time element activity.
- Capturing all the data and providing a comparative analysis of the video time recorded activities against work standards.
Our analysis developed both an approach to measuring casing activities and developed the basis for mail casing work element standards.
