Objective
With the shift to Point of Call (POC) sequencing, Canada Post Corporation (CPC) had to transition its address database from Postal Code data to complete and accurate Point of Call Information (POCI). This process required “on-the-ground” address management assistance to develop an address hygiene strategy, route verification procedures and training for supervisors.
Project
dap reviewed CPC’s address maintenance methods and recommended changes based on multiple route verifications throughout Canada. Using its specially developed iPad Route Verifier™ (a portable tool for the maintenance of address management database), dap’s experts maintained a detailed Edit Book to serve as a measure of the hygiene of the addresses verified, to classify the types of address mismatches identified, and to demonstrate best practices for delivery supervisors and letter carriers for documenting errors, omissions, additions and address database updates.
