Deutsche Post’s Q2 profits more than triple; outlook revised higher

FRANKFURT, Germany — Mail and freight company Deutsche Post AG says net profits more than tripled in the second quarter as its German package deliveries rose and Asian sales boosted its DHL express delivery business. Net earnings reached €278 million ($395 million), compared to €81 million a year ago, when earnings were lowered by one-time expenses.
